Cleveland was born in 1955, raised in Southwestern and Native American
culture. His younger days were spent studying architectural drawing
and commercial art. He then spent two years apprenticing under a 35
year sign craft veteran. Cleveland opened his own business "Rainbow
Signs" which just turned 15 years old. His original work has been
exhibited in The Kustom Kulture Show for the Laguna Art Museum, as
well as The Von Dutch Tribute Show here at La Luz de Jesus. The expertise
of his paint handling, the economy of his line, and his precise sense
of proportion make him a leader in a very distinctive family of pinstripe
artists. This is his first solo show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery.
