- The
son of an antique dealer and restorer, Jon Bok has been collecting
eclectic objects and fine tuning his eye for beauty in the discarded
since he was a child. This voracious appreciation, coupled with the
skill and passion of a true artisan, has led Bok into a successful
career in the (not always lucrative) modern folk art world. Every
piece of furniture he creates is hand crafted and wonderfully unique,
not to mention fully functional and quite durable. The artist has
created most of the interiors for The House of Blues venues and his
work has been collected by celebrities the size of Julia Roberts,
Dennis Hopper, and Madonna. Jon Bok lives in Silverlake and is currently
decorating the latest House of Blues in Las Vegas.
