Shag

"Anatomy Of A Swinger"

January 2 - February 1, 1998

Josh Agle, better known as SHAG, is a product of the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles. He was born in the early sixties, a little too late to experience the culture and styles that have always fascinated him and are present in most of his illustration and design. Influenced by the slick commercial art and advertising of the late 50's and early 60's, the artist strives for a very clean, well-crafted appearance to his own work. Most of Josh's work has been concentrated in the music industry, designing and illustrating over 75 albums, CDs, and cassettes since 1989, not to mention countless posters, video boxes, and advertising for record companies in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. This is his first show with us at La Luz de Jesus.
