Saiman Chow, Gerald de Jesus, Isabel Samaras, Douglas Thompson

"Group Show "

July 2 - August 1, 1999

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Los Angeles, Saiman Chow brings a unique Eastern and Western point of view to his colorful, pop-influenced imagery. His images are drawn from Japanese, Chinese, and American contemporary cultures in the form of comics, music, digital media, as well as 60's graphic design. In his paintings, Chow's main goal is to have fun, while maintaining an obsessive sense of color and composition. Educated at Art Center College of Design, Chow has been inspired by contemporary illustrators and instructors, Rob Clayton, Chris Clayton, and Aaron Smith. Chow has exhibited his work in various galleries and is currently beginning his career as a freelance illustrator.
