Glenn Barr

Glenn Barr is one of Detroit's most celebrated and successful underground artists. His paintings have appeared in galleries from Seattle to San Francisco and New York City. His work has been featured in a variety of comics and graphic novels such as Mad, DC Comics, and Paradox Press as well as in a series of self-published books called HEEP. Barr is currently working on a new comic for Marvel entitled Satana, Teen Daughter of Satan. Barr's editorial illustration has been sought out by recording companies such as MCA, Interscope and clothing designer Anna Sui. His animation credits include background styling for The Ren and Stimpy Show, Bjork's I Miss You video and the new Woody Woodpecker Show. Barr's paintings have been reproduced in art journals like Juxtapoz, Erotica and the film periodicals Zoetrope and Film Threat magazine. Keep your eyes peeled for the new book Lowlife Paradise: The Works of Glenn Barr which will be available early next year.
