Tara McPherson is a Los Angeles based painter and freelance illustrator. Painting about people and their odd ways, Tara's characters seem to exude an idealized innocence with a glimpse of hardearned wisdom. Recalling many issues from childhood and good old life experience, she paints images that are thought provoking and seductive. Utilizing various power tools, Tara embellishes her art with handcrafted frames. Tara's latest freelance assignment is an ad campaign for the new perfume Alchera, which is taking London by storm and will be released in the US later in the year. Her work has been featured on the cover of Skratch, Savage Tattoo, and Destroy All Monthly magazines.
