R.K.Sloane

"Songs from the Forbidden Carnival"

September 6 - 29, 2002

La Luz de Jesus Gallery is proud to present R.K. Sloane. Sloane was born in the early 1950s. As a child he passed the time preparing for his dream of having his own carnival side show act, which included biting the heads off of live, defenseless critters while riding a unicycle standing on his head. After a short, but successful career in the carnival, he decided to take on a more grounded job. He took employment digging graves at the local cemetary. Things were great in the beginning but eventualy business slowed down. He realized he needed to do something to save his job - after all, that's the motivated kinda guy he is - so he started his fullfulling career as a serial killer. With the cemetary business booming, he decided it was time for something more. He joined the local satanic cult, and volunteers his time setting up for the weekly sacrifices. He enjoys basking in the moonlight, driving around town in his 1965 Cadillac Hearse, while sipping the blood of young children - with a splash of lime.
