May 2 - June 1, 2003

Roberto Baldazzini was born in Vignola (Italy) in 1958. He shares his career as cult author of comic strips with that of successful advertising illustrator. In Italy he has published more than twenty artbooks and graphic novels, his recent works being almost exclusively of an erotic nature. Several graphic novels have been published in France and Germany while the USA has seen the publication of "Hurricane" (Catalan Communications 1991), "She-Dom- The Awakening of Clara Rosemberg" (Eros Comics, 2001), "Casa Howhard Vol.1" (NBM- Eurotica, 2001) with the Volume 2 to be published in 2003. He has won the prize for best Italian comic artist twice, at the national comic fair at Lucca in 1998 and at Rome in 2001. His first painting exhibition was held at the Mondo Bizzarro Gallery in December 2000. This was followed by a second show at the Museo del Risorgimento of Ferrara and by the group show "Art of the Twentieth Century" at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Bologna. In his paintings Baldazzini exalts his obsession with feminine beauty, presenting a series of highly coloured portraits of fantastic, beautiful women.
