David Charles Cooper was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1967. He now lives in Ottwa, with his wife Julie and infant son, Jake. He is the author/illustrator of a number of iconoclastic and award-winning graphic novels published by Seattle's influential Fantagraphics Books. His latest book, Overbite is a coffee table art book of oil paintings, which sold out within weeks of its release and is now in its second printing. Dave's next major release will be the graphic novel, Ripple which sports an introduction by filmaker, David Cronenberg. In addition to comics, Dave has worked extensively as a designer, producer, and creator in the field of animation. He's now creating a line of deluxe toys with the firm, Critterbox Toys. Dave Cooper is gradually becoming more known as a fine art oil painter, with three major shows scheduled in the U.S. this year.
