Eric Joyner

"Hot August Art "

August 1 - 31, 2003

Eric Joyner's life was changed forever when a pal in Eric's first grade class asked him to do a drawing for him; subsequently, his teachers took notice, and had him taking painting lessons after school. By the fourth grade his paintings (along with some other students') were chosen for an extended statewide tour. Since then he's been painting and drawing, studying and working as an illustrator for major companies such as Mattel Toys, Levis, Showtime and Hasbro. Eric has won two gold medals from the San Francisco Society of Illustrators. He is deeply influenced by Japanese toys and the Brandywine artists and illustrators of the early 1900s.
