La Luz de jesus is proud to present the work of New York based artist Jonathan Rosen.

Rosen has had one man shows in various galleries in New York City, Los Angeles, Venice, Italy and Toronto, Canada. His work has been in numerous group shows including Exit Art and P.S. 1 in New York, Kunstwerk in Berlin and The Triennali in Milan. He received a Gold Medal from the Society of Publication Designers in 1995. His work has been profiled and reviewed in numerous publications including Print, World Art, LA Weekly and EYE Magazine, London.

Perhaps best known for the Ichabod Crane journal drawings and design seen in Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, Jonathan Rosen has also been commissioned to design and direct animation for the enigmatic band, the Residents. As a commissioned artist, some of his clients include; The New York Times, Snake Eyes, Time Magazine, Rolling Stone, MTV, Blab, The Ganzfeld and Details as well as numerous CD and book covers.
Jonathan Rosen's journey as an artist serves as his greatest influence. Obsessed with medical and medieval art, electronic music, printmaking, painting, color separation, and computer animation, there is a constant migration of images between mediums, as well as multiple generations and disintegrations which offer a unique voice to his works.
