Hudson Marquez
"Rhythm & Hues"

Hudson Marquez was an active participant in the arts and political movements during the late sixties in New Orleans before moving to San Francisco as a member of the Ant Farm Art Collective. At Ant Farm Marquez was the driving force behind the iconic Cadillac Ranch sculpture in Amarillo, Texas. He was also instrumental in Ant Farm's public performances, museum exhibitions, inflatable structures, architectural commissions, illustration work, and videos.

Mr. Marquez left Ant Farm in 1973 to co-found TVTV, the seminal "guerilla television" group that is considered to be the ground breaking pioneer of non-fiction television. TVTV was the recipient of many awards including the prestigious Columbia Dupont, for excellence in television journalism. As member of TVTV, Mr. Marquez was most recently voted into the Broadcasting Hall of fame.

Hudson Marquez has had solo exhibition in Los Angeles at Swoop Gallery, Zero Gallery, as well as LaLuz de Jesus Gallery. Marquez's current show, "Rhythm and Hues," will run concurrently with a retrospective of the Ant Farm Collective at the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
