Ana Bagayan
"There, there"

September 1- October 1, 2006

Born in Armenia in 1983, Ana Bagayan moved to Burbank, California with her family when she was six years old.
In 2003, while still attending Pasadena's Art Center College of Design, Bagayan submitted work for consideration
to La Luz de Jesus Gallery's annual juried group show and was accepted immediately.

Bagayan graduated from Art Center in December 2004. Her whimsical yet edgy paintings reflect her
intense formal training, rich cultural background and interests in vintage photographs and children's toys, books
and dollhouses. Her work has graced the pages of such publications as Rolling Stone, GQ and Spin Magazines, depicting eerily life-like celebrity caricatures of such notables as Beck, Avril Lavigne and the Olsen Twins.

"There, there" will be Ana Bagayan's second solo-exhibition at La Luz de Jesus Gallery.
